can i charge deep cycle u1 wheelchair batteries with a standard car batterie charger? batteries?
I have an extra set of batteries for my mobility scooter, and it is more than I can handle to change them out to keep both sets charged, but as they cost me over $1oo. each, I don`t want to experiment and possibly damage them

ABSOLUTELY NOT! You need a charger that goes with that type of battery.

yes, they are 12 volt batteries and can be charged with a car charger,, set on the 2 amp scale and charge overnite,,, deep cycle means that they can go from full charge to no charge and when charged up again they work fine,,, youll notice over time tho that the length of time they stay charged will continuely decrease,, after maybee 50-100 charges..
here is a link to a new one when u need it for 70 bucks
