What LCD TV DVD combi can I get?

My partner and I want an LCD TV DVD combi. It's for the bedroom and needs to be 23" - 26". We have a budget of £300. My partner is insistent it must be a good brand, she isn't interested in the brands like Technika unless it can be proven they are good enough. Please give me some good suggestions on which combi to get and why.

Thanks

Makes like Technika, Digihome, Alba, Bush are actually all of the same tv, just re-branded. these are made extremely cheaply and that is generally the reason why you should avoid them. They can be a false economy in a sense because parts can be difficult to source for them.

The good brands are starting to make decent LCD DVD combis. I've found a couple of good buys close to budget ;)

Both of these have very good picture quality, built in digital Freeview and HD ready. I'd go for the Toshiba personally as it is a 26" for £350, which is a good price for one even without a DVD player in.

You could go for a Panasonic TXL26C20 or TXL26X20 which are generally regarded as the best 26" tvs and buy a seperate DVD player such as the Toshiba SD3010. Therefore you'll get even better picture quality, sound quality and the brilliant reliability of both brands.
