Kindle is better you can put PDF files on there and get the book from anywhere while with the Nook you can only get books from Barnes and Noble. Oh and with the Nook you can borrow books from other users who have a nook for two weeks. You can also read books free for a whole hour at Barnes and Nobles but I still think the Kindle is better.

HERE IS A BIT EXTRA TO HELP

    I personally prefer the Kindle.

Here are the reasons why there different.

-Kindle is in black and white, while the nook has color

-The nook is touch screen while the kindle is not

-If your friend has a nook you could borrow books from each other with your nook. It's like a blue tooth only you won't have the book when it's borrowed.

-You can read books free with the nook for a whole hour at any barnes and noble store.

They both have wireless and Mp3 which is a plus, because I love music while I read. But both Wireless are equal. You can browse on there websites BN.com or Amazon. I find it easy.

    -Kindle has text to speech

-Webster dictionary when you get stuck on a word

-Over 1,000 free ebooks most are classic

-Read a free chapter digially from your kindle in sixty seconds.

-Buy a book instanly with your kindle

-The kindle screen doesn't strain your eyes while you read like a computer does over time

-The battery can last for a whole month without using it

-1 year warranty if something happens to your kindle

    *Nook Cost $249 (really beautiful)

    *Kindle 3g Cost$179

The only difference between the Kindle and the Nook is that you buy books off of Amazon for the Kindle and you buy them form Barnes&Noble for the Nook. So it's really a choice between do you prefer Amazon or Barnes&Noble. really. Hop i helped!!! :D

Kindle 3G Wireless Reading Device, Free 3G + Wi-Fi, 3G Works Globally, Graphite, 6" Display with New E Ink Pearl Technology

Improved PDF support – PDFs finally support notes and highlights and it makes a big difference for everyone using PDFs (students, academics, etc.). There are 6 contrast settings for PDFs which is useful and Kindle 3 also supports password protected PDFs.

Accessibility – The combination of the Voice Guide and the Text to Speech feature gives low vision and blind readers their first usable, cheap Kindle.

New WebKit Browser. The new browser handles complex websites, allows zoom options, and has an Article Mode that lets you read just the article (it strips away the ads and other extrinsics).

You can't share books between Nooks and Kindles. Kindle is the best option out there. I LOVE it!!! I found links to the best models. Just check out the reviews and you'll see. Kindle is AMAZING!

Kindles are frightening because of fact it form of feels to me that e book covers are paintings. This exceedingly has been authentic interior the previous century. of course, paintings is much better whilst it fairly is tangible. could you extremely have a digital photograph of the Mona Lisa, or a fifteen dollar print? even if neither are the authentic element, i in my view could have the print. yet another element: A Kindle with 4 hundred books would not look as magnificent as some bookcases with 4 hundred books.

Forget Kindle, and Kobo, and Cruz, and Sony. Out of all eReaders on the market, Nook from Barnes & Noble is the best combination of price and features. Get Nook (3G or Wi-Fi) or Nook Color (Wi-Fi) from bn.com or any Barnes & Noble physical store or BestBuy or Walmart. 3G means the internet connection is included for free for the life of the device thus you can download a new book even when you're walking on the street. Wi-Fi means that you need to have access to wireless hotspot - one example would be any Barnes & Noble store that provides free Wi-Fi to Nook's or at your home. There's over a million of free public ebooks as well as over a million of ebooks that you need to pay for available through Barnes & Noble eBook store. Prices are generally much lower than for physical books.

    Nook wins.

    - Nook allows to lend books for 2 weeks to friends or to your other devices that run B&N app. Barnes & Noble allows (when you walk in with the Nook to B&N store) to read any available eBook for free while in the store via free provided in the store Wi-Fi. With Nook, while in BN store you get exclusive articles from top authors, and great offers including cafe treats and unique deals.

    - Nook Color is better as a color e-Reader than Kindle simply because it has color and Kindle is black and white. Content that greatly benefits from color - such as kids books and magazines - looks much better and sharper on Nook Color's screen.

    - Nook Color is better as an e-Reader in general than iPad. It has a new generation screen which is anti-glare coated and is better performing in sunlight than iPad's. Also, as it's smaller in size than iPad, the text appears sharper on Nook's screen. Also it has 12,000 (more soon) kids books that are built as a game with feedback.

    - Nook Color has been picked as the editors choice by PC Magazine while pro reviewers of other sites (CNET, ZDNet, Engadget, AllThingsDigital, etc.) mentioned that it tested to be pretty fast for apps and PDF's, and has a beautiful screen.

    - Overall, Nook Color is more than e-Reader as you can also watch video and use Android applications on it. It's a hybrid device, much more than just an e-Reader but not a full tablet as it doesn't have a camera. If all you want is to read novels, Kindle (or the original e-Ink Nook) might be better for you. If you want something more from your device at half of the price of iPad or Galaxy tab, then Nook Color is your best bet.

    - Nook (unlike Kindle) can be used for library ebooks.

    - Nook (unlike Kindle) can be used for renting text-ebooks.
