Is it worth buying a Blue Ray player?
Everything seems to be going to digital download, so I was wondering if it was worth it to buy a blue ray. Right now I think that blue ray will be the beta max of our time because technology right now is trending toward digitally downloading or streaming HD movies.
I'm not really interested in which one is the best player. I really want an opinion on whether or not it's worth it to buy one with the way that technology is leaning. I like to invest in things for the long run, and if BlueRay isn't going to last then I really don't want to spend the money on one. Especially when they are so expensive.

I for one hope disc do not go away. You're right though they probably will eventually. I don't think it will happen quite that fast however, there is probably time for a bluray player in the mean time. Personally I really like holding the thing in my hand you know, having the physical disc as opposed to some download form the cloud. As for the quality, bluray is definitely worth it over DVD not just from a picture quality standpoint but also sound quality. If you have equipment to resolve it you will probably notice a bigger improvement in sound than in picture. At least that's the way it was for me and I know others have stated the same. Now if you are using some little HTiB then you probably will not have the resolution to hear the sound quality difference but with a good system you definitely will.

in case you intend on watching distinct Blu-ray videos, i does not use the PS3 to do it because the Blu-ray participant on the PS3 is of inferior high quality than a real Blu-ray participant. it is not as reliable, solid, or sturdy as a Blu-ray participant because the aspects used to make the Blu-ray participant are frequently made out of the most inexpensive textile a danger. yet in case you intend on watching Blu-ray videos once in a lengthy time period, then get the PS3.

WELL! I believe it is. BUT! you need to have the proper quality of TV in order to fully enjoy it. ALSO! you need to get the right BLU-RAY player as well. Good electronics brands are LG, Samsung, also Philips is up there. You need a 1080p full HD TV and a HDMI cable in order to fully enjoy it. I believe that it is absolutely worth it yes.
