You can do this or you can go for a non-bank mortgage.
So you get a mortgage from a person or corporation. The interest may be higher, but just make sure you can make the minimum payments.
Also you should really put more information in, such as the city or type of house.

um no, it doesn't work that way with houses. if you can't get a mortgage, then just rent a house. what you described is called financing, same as what a bank would do. you're going to owe someone money in that scenario, and they will come after you if you don't pay and kick you out of the house. you'll have lost all that money same as if you were renting.
