Finger food/ hor dourves ideas?

This year, since my boyfriend and I spent Thanksgiving with my family, we're planning to spend Christmas with his family. But of course, I wanted to see my family for Christmas too, so we'll be spending some time with my family on Christmas Eve. We decided not to have a huge, traditional meal since the event with my family is smaller this year, but we still wanted to do a little something for food. We decided on small finger foods and hor dourves, buffet-style. Any ideas? Thanks!

    Cheesy Christmas Wreath

made with crescent rolls, cream cheese and sour cream

    Ingredients

2 tubes (8 ounces each) refrigerated crescent rolls

1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese, softened

    1/2 Cup sour cream

    1 Teaspoon dill weed

    1/8 Teaspoon garlic powder

1.5 Cup(s) chopped fresh broccoli florets

    1 Cup finely chopped celery

1/2 Cup finely chopped sweet red pepper

2-3 celery leaves (enough to tie a bow)

    Directions

    Preheat over to 375 degrees.

Remove crescent roll dough from packaging, but do not unroll.

Cut each tube into eight even slices.

Arrange the slices in an 11 inch circle on an ungreased 14-in. pizza pan.

Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.

Cool for 5 minutes before carefully transferring to a serving platter; cool completely.

In a small mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese, sour cream, dill and garlic powder until smooth.

Spread over wreath with a spatula.

Top the wreath with fresh broccoli florets, celery and red pepper.

Form a bow garnish with celery leaves.

    Mini Bagel Wreaths

    - Get the bite size bagels

    - Toast and Cut in half

    - For cream cheese you can do flavored or regular (sometimes you can die it green kids normally like this or again leave white)

    - Take red, yellow, green pepers and chop up, and use to garnish the Wreath (bagel)

    Pizza pocket Wreath

    Ingredients

30 square wonton wrappers (we used Nasoya; some are thinner and tear more easily)

    Pepperoni slices

1/3 cup pizza sauce, plus extra for dipping

    1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1 large green pepper, cut into thin strips

    Small bowl of water

    Vegetable oil

    Instructions

1.Lay the wonton wrappers on a dry work surface. In the center of each wrapper, place a slice of pepperoni, 1/2 teaspoon of pizza sauce, 1/2 tablespoon of cheese, and 1 pepper strip.

2.Dip your finger in water and moisten all 4 edges of the wonton, then fold it in half, pressing along the edges to seal it.

3.Heat one teaspoon of oil in a large skillet over medium heat and cook the pockets until brown, about 2 minutes on each side, adding more oil as needed.

4Remove the wontons from the pan and place them on paper towels to absorb excess oil. Arrange them in a wreath shape, and serve with extra sauce for dipping.

    Hope this helps

Then hollow them out with a melon baller. Toss the potatoes in olive oil, and a sturdy volume of salt and pepper. Bake on 400 for till they are fork gentle and golden brown. Fill interior the hollow with creme fraiche and precise with a touch little caviar. Garnish with extremely of chive sticking out the right. yet another is mini beggar's purses, a knock off of pigs in a blanket. I made some full of a blend of finely diced chorizo and grated manchgo cheese. I also brushed some total grain mustard on the puff pastry earlier I fill it. My favorites are:

Hammy-Oniony Delish- Take sliced Bavarian Ham and on each slice, spread cream cheese. Then, take a green onion and roll it up in the ham slice. Refrigerate for 1 hour, insert toothpicks along the roll, and then cut into 1 inch chunks. Keep refrigerated until ready to serve

Bacon wrapped water chestnuts: Soak whole water chestnuts in worchestershire sauce for an hour. In the meantime, cut uncooked bacon slices into 2 inch strips. Cover water chestnuts with bacon pieces and secure with toothpick. Bake for 15 minutes on 350* or until bacon is crispy.
