Has anyone ever used Bearshare or know anything about it? Is it illegal?

Bearshare has been around for years, coexisting with Kazaa and limewire. It is a p2p based system so stay away from it, the RIAA is pushing US courts on filesharing now which is why there was a shutdown issued to limewire. Many of the same servers are used interchangeably between these p2p clients. If you need to download something (not suggesting you do anything that violates copyright laws) just use uTorrent and find a good torrent search engine, works better than any p2p system anyways.
