A question in chemistry.?

I need to know which elements can form a compound with Mercury, and silicon. And I need to know which group of the periodic table they are in. If someone can answer this then that would be fantabulous.

    Many elements can chemically bond with silicon and mercury to form various compounds.

    It depends on the oxidation state of the element you are considering. For example, mercury generally likes to be in the +1 or +2 oxidation state, so it lends itself to forming compounds with halogen or chalcogen ions. Silicon likes to form four bonds, but not always with the same atom. Silicon dioxide is quite common, but silicon nitride is also a possibility.
