At&t is my service provider and I don't get service where I live. Is there anything I can do?

I just moved 3 miles from where I was and I can only receive texts on my cell. I cannot respond to them or receive calls or make them which is an issue where I have a toddler at home. Is there anything I can do? I have a friend with the same service provider and she gets service here. Why? I just got the phone in September so I cannot break the contract so switching providers is not an option. I've heard of a thing that boost your connection but have heard that these are bogus. Any suggestions? I tried to contact at&t but their website is of no help and I can't contact them via phone as it does not work here. Anything at all I can do? HELP PLEASE!

Usually poor service is related to the sim card. Give it a quick pull and put it back in again. If that doesn't work see if you can borrow your friends phone and put your sim card in it. Do you still get bad service? If you put your sim card into your friends phone does it still get good service? This will help you narrow down if it is the sim card of the phone that is causing issues.

You can also visit a local store for support. They can't help with all problems but they should be able to handle this one.
