Best Ear/Headphones for Sound Isolation/Canceling?
I need either earphones or headphones for sound isolation/canceling. I don't know which one I need sound isolation or canceling? I am going to be using it in noisy places filled with people. So I will be blocking out conversation and people talking. I've heard that sound canceling is not effective in blocking out non-continuous noise like people talking.
I want it to be primarily blocking loud people talking, loud tvs, loud background noise, City Noise.
Should i get sound canceling or sound isolation.
And which ear or head-phone is the best for producing silence for those types of noises.
Cost does not matter, though I will put a max cap at $400.
PLEASE READ EVERYTHING I POSTED BEFORE POSTING AN ANSWER..
I am familiar with Bose headphones, but my concern is that they are used primarily to block out continuous noise like airplane engines, not dynamic noise not people talking, babies crying, tv noise.
Another important factor is, I will NOT be listening to music while wearing these, I want these to block out noise, and I don't care about their quality in terms of how music sounds through it.
I've been look at Shure's SE earphones, but I dont know if those work without you having to listen to music.

Most active noise cancellation headsets that I've found on the market today reduce the lower frequencies but not the higher frequencies. They're mostly designed for air travel and cancel out the lower and louder noise of that jet engines and air passage makes. It's not a matter of the noise being continuous or not. They are not meant ot cancel all noises or conversations. It's probably a safety thing as you need to be able to hear announcements on aircraft. When active noise cancelling headsets first came out they did cancel almost all noise but that didn't last long. What you need is industrial ear protection. This should cover all the frequencies, not just the lower ones. I did find the site below. It provides industrial active noise reduction and isn't limited to the lower frequencies. In fact, these headphones reduce more at higher frequencies. The specs look good. At about $150 the price is very reasonable.

It merely relies upon on performance. maximum finished-sized headphones weren't made to be pushed with a portable gadget. some are more suitable useful than others and artwork in that situation... distinct the smaller headphones made specifically for portable use are more suitable useful than finished-sized headphones and play louder on a lot less ability... like my Audio Technica ATH-ES7 or AKG K450.

Bose is what your looking for.
Visit their website (google it) and they have a lot of headphones to browse through, just look for ones that say noise reduction/cancelation.
I tried one and MAN they are GREAT. Money well spent guaranteed.
