I am trying to quit smoking, for good this time. Any ideas, tips or suggestions?

I haven't smoked for 1 week, today, but I have been having cravings...so I need to know what to do to get past giving in to the cravings. I will be able to buy some cigarettes, around noon, tomorrow, but I don't want to buy them and start back into it again!

Try to keep yourself busy!! At all times!!

If you do end up feeling tempted to buy some, remind yourself how well you've done and keep trying.

A little over a month without myself. Still getting cravings. I could go and get some fags right now, if I so wished, and believe me I'm tempted. But, I'm not. I've gotten this far, and I'm not gonna **** it up by going and getting a 20 pack. I'm gonna stay at home and keep answering questions on this website.

Yeah, I find that helps too.

Cravings are symptoms of unresolved conflicts associated with your habit of smoking. Find a way to resolve them, you will be able to stop the cravings. You have quit for 1 week. it is great. Best Wishes.

Don't give yourself the option of being able to buy them! Stay away from wherever you can get them at noon tomorrow. And get yourself some Nicotine patches.

Oh that's gonna be really hard. Because the relief you get from smoking is so strong. You must feel terrible without them. One cigarette wouldn't do you any harm, would it? Go on, have one. You'll feel so much better afterwards... Why give up something you love. Enjoy a cigarette....

Just go cold turkey. And never try them again. I also used straws to suck on for a bit.

Have you seen how ugly and unattractive people who smoke really are?

Look at their disgusting rotten teeth, sagged out premature wrinkled skin, crusty yellow stained fingers and fungus filled nails.
