firefox click any link or try to back page opens window. Never saw this b4 -- Its weird!?
So how did this happen and how can it change to normal?

Go to Edit->Preferences->Tabs and make sure "Open new window in a new tab instead" is CHECKED. I can't tell you why it happened because I don't know what you were doing when it happened, but sometimes the preferences are changed accidently by a number of errors -- both serious and NOT -- the latter category is currently very common because they can be caused by some badly designed software and web pages using memory wrong.
