The reason you can't find it is because Richard Rodriguez is not willing to give it away for free. He wants to earn money for writing the book.
Unless the author is willing to give his work away for free, it is not legal to post it online.

Nope sorry. I've never seen a site where you can read online text from books..except e-books.

Take it out from the library. Put it in your briefcase or topcoat pocket. Haul it out and read when you have a few minutes of downtime.
Reading it on the computer screen will make you a nervous wreck and will screw up your vision! That's not what computers are for.
