Why are my Wii remotes not responding?

I was playing Madden '08 (Yes, 08) about a week ago, and so I turned it my Wii on, used the remote to get to play game. I left while it was loading, and when I came back a couple of minutes later none of the buttons would work, and the remote wouldn't turn on. I turned off the system and for a couple of days now it has failed, I have used 3 different controllers and replaced batteries on each of them, but it didn't work. Any idea what is going on?

Have you tried using the "sync" hidden under the panel that opens up in front of the console. Power your console on, remove the back of the Wii remote battery case, press the sync button on the console and the sync button on the back of the remote under the case. Sometimes your remotes lose connection when the batteries die and need to be re-synced.

Because my explanation may be less than perfect, you can always check out the Nintendo site thorough instructions for more detail.

If i were you i would check the sensor bar to see if its fallen down or come unplugged. If that dosent work make sure anoying roomies or siblings havent tampered with them. Might want to check for corrosion on the battery terminals. Hope this helps.
