Sita asked Rama to Catch the Golden Deer(Maarichaa) So she can have the Deer as Pet. But as the deer went far of Rama aimed the deer foot as he thought he can cure the wound and set as pet Sita. But Maarcha made himself to killed by Rama rather than Ravana.

So its far clear Sita Request Rama to Capture and Not to Kill

Sita asked Rama to capture the deer and not to kill her.

Sita wanted the golden Deer as playmate. She asked Rama to catch it and give it to her for taming. When the Deer kept on dodging and was leading Rama farther and farther away from the ashram, Rama got suspicious that it is not areal deer but some demonic form.So he aimed the arrow at it which exposed the Maricha it was.

sita liked the golden deer, and wanted it, but not for food.

she didn't tell him to kill it

a soft hearted woman like sita wouldn't want any creature to be killed

just capture it, to have as a pet as it was a golden one!!!
