Baby shower in Seattle/Burien area?

I'm going to be having a pretty large baby shower towards the end of March, beginning of April. I'm having a really hard time finding a good place to accommodate probably around 40 people that isn't too expensive and will allow us to decorate.

The Seattle Parks Department has some buildings that can be rented for around $50 per hour: http://www.seattle.gov/parks/Arts/alkiart.htm

I don't know if that is within your budget. Lots of restaurants will let you use a banquet room for free as long as you order at least a minimal amount of food.

I'm from the area and had a baby shower back in May at the old Spaghetti Factory in Tukwila, they have a nice area for private events.

Check out the hotels down in the Seatac area that have meeting rooms, you could find a really good deal, especially if you book early. I would also look into the Seattle Parks and Recreation: http://www.seattle.gov/parks/facilities/rentals/#b...

There are so many facilities that Seattle Parks and Rec offer that have kitchens so you can prepare your own food, which will save you money.

Burien Parks and Recreation offers four different meeting spaces that are very nice and would look wonderful in the spring:

Might be cheaper if you get out of seattle and try the surrounding area like kirkland and etc. Have look into some churches that rent out their activity room. I've rented on for very discounted price.
