Do Senior Citizens listen to the radio on Christmas Eve?
Did you know that if you fiddle with the AM dial starting around 10PM, EST, you will find at least once an airing of the radio show It's a Wonderful Life, with most of the original cast members, and also A Christmas Carol, usually the one with Lionel Barrymore playing Scrooge? I look forward to this every Christmas Eve, and listen while in bed. Wish I could tell you which stations, but maybe it could be googled. I always manage to find them, and they are a treat!
I've never heard it on an NPR outlet, and the ones I've listened to have no commercial interruptions. I know the station WBZ in Boston does an original production of Christmas Carol, using their on-air talent as the voices. I think it's around 1030 or so on the AM dial.

I had no idea. I wonder if it's a NPR station, because it would disappointing if great shows like that were interrupted by car commercials. Many years ago, I heard War of The Worlds on radio. I was amazed at how real it seemed and understood how the listeners were freaking out.

Yeah, I will be listening. I know wbbm 780 am radio station plays old-time radio programs. They play the news most of the time, so it might not seem like it's the right channel. There's another one, can't think of the call letters. I will be roaming the dial also.
