MicroSD Card: How to format?
Hi. I bought a microsd card for my phone so I could add some pictures and music and would like to format the card but it says that the is "write protected" and it won't let me format it. Is there something that I can do? The card is new and I have added a few pictures to try it out. It was easy to use. However some of my pictures didn't show up and I've found that formatting a new card/usb always helps with this.
Thanks in advance. Any help is much appreciated.

connect it to ur PC, microsd shouldnt have a lock on it, i dont know what adaptor u using, if u using microsd to sd adaptor [which is the same size shape as a normal sd card and u put the microsd into it] u might have a little lock button on there, just switch it to unlock. or if u have any protection software on the micro sd card configure it to allow ur format.

If you cannot format it through your phone, then connect it to your computer through a card reader to format.
On windows-- go to My Computer. Right click on the microSD card and select format. Choose Fat32, and do a quick format.
On mac-- go to spotlight (top right of the screen) and search for 'disk utility'. Open that and select your MicroSD card, and go to the 'Erase' tab. Erase it in Fat32 format.
Put it back in your phone, and you may have to let your phone format it one more time. It should then be usable by your phone.
