What camera will display view on laptop?

We are having trouble getting "home" shots of art work to get into accurate focus. The Pentax K10-D auto-focus isn't accurate enough. Is there a comparable digital camera that will let us pipe the view-screen image to a laptop so we can get a full-size view of the shot to fine-tune the focus, watch for edge distortion, and the like?

Update:

Robert & Jim, thanks for the quick replies. Yes, we've tried manual focus: the view screen isn't large enough to give us the resolution we need to get pixel-perfect shots. We're not using the kit lens: we're using a zoom lens to back off to 15-20 feet and then make the painting (no more than 5' square) fill the screen. We seem to have licked the lighting problems, and we still have some trouble with edge effects (distortion and fade-out), but the focus problem is the one we *need* to solve in the long run. When we can't get a perfectly sharp image, there's no sense in entering the shot in a juried competition. We've even been to a professional art photographer (one of two top-level guys in our area), and he had the same issue -- and fumbled the lighting, to boot.

    I really don't get this. You want to buy a new camera when free software does the trick?

    From the pentax website:

    PENTAX is pleased to announce the release of PENTAX Remote Assistant 3, available free of charge to owners of compatible cameras. Remote Assistant allows you to use your computer to control a tethered camera, making it ideal in various studio and special application photographic situations. In addition to standard remote camera operation, Remote Assistant offers functions such as:

    * Operational control of 2 or more cameras

    * Interval, Timer, and Bulb Timer modes

    * Remote User Mode and Custom Functions control

    * And more

    COMPATIBLE CAMERAS

    * K10D (with firmware version 1.20 or later)

    * K20D

    OK, then get a canon, does the same thing.

    I would suggest the problem is the lens not the camera body. If it's kit lens you're using that's probably why. If I were you I'd be looking for a better lens. I don't know what Pentax has since I never buy their gear but you can shop here.

    Have you tried manual focus? Try setting up the camera on a tripod and then locking in with the manual focus.
