how do i clean a throttle position sensor?

with a caburrator / throttle body cleaner?

    You don't clean a TPS (throttle position sensor) they are a sealed assembly to keep moisture/humidity out of the wiper contacts (replace the whole assembly) If you can provide the YMM (year make and model) of the offending vehicle and your driveability symptoms i can help you on this diagnosis!

    yes that will work fine.. just allow it to dry before reinstalling it
