"best answer" responses from Yahoo! Questions showing up in other websites ...?
I have recently discovered that some of my Yahoo! Questions "best answer" responses have been showing up in other websites, like:
• "science.mathematics.indie.my"
• "gateway2interest.ws"
• "babyolalaa.com"
• "tentscamplingequipment.com"
• "answer.co5.biz"
• "4answer.net"
• "get-answers-now.com"
• "answersection.com"
• "pcweblog.net"
• "askjot.com"
• "answerdigger.com"
• "budgetminisite.com"
Is this:
• allowed (by Yahoo! Questions)?
• normal? (ie do other Yahoo! Question responders have this happen to them too?)
Who does this? (Someone must take the trouble to do this.)
How do these answers even get to these sites?
Why does this happen?
Thanks for your time to answer these questions! ☺

Sites use Yahoo Answers' RSS feed to get free content. It's automated, so it doesn't really require any "work". I'm sure Yahoo frowns on this, as most of those sites are spammy sites that use the content to draw search engine hits. Not much can be done about it, but it it is wise to remember not to include anything personal or private in your Yahoo Q/A because it may well exist on the web for decades...
@ Queen of Answers-- It hasn't happened to you? Have you looked? Tell me if this looks familiar; there's hundreds more with your answers out there:

Your questions and answers show up for me, so they are public
You can click your avatar pic> Edit my Preferences and make those private
On Pulse, you can click Settings > Updates> Manage Updates
and uncheck the box that says " Share my Updates"
But if people are just copy/pasting them to websites, which I think that is what your saying.. then I dont know what else can be done about that. I havent had that happen to me. Or I guess I have now that the other person points it out. Thing to do would be change your name often then.
.EDIT -- Oh I see now.
Some even say Powered by Yahoo Answers.
They are rss feeds.

The section on Scraping tells a lot.
They pick questions of interest and saves someone from viewing all the questions on here. Syndicated version of Y!A ..
Interesting ! hmmm.

properly, you're for sure signed in already, so merely click on "Ask" (top left corner), and there will be a communicate container for you to ask in. then you definitely'll press 'preview', and finally 'positioned up'. yet you realize that now...you merely asked this one :) confirm to categorize your question exact (you will see the situation once you're in 'preview'), and you're in business enterprise.
