You need help parenting this child . A new perspective. You should see an ayruvedic type doctor, for his ADHD and look up this free self help method . It is known to help heal ADHD . eftuniverse.com click on 'get started free'. read the resource and tutorial sections.

Sometimes these symptoms are vitamin or mineral deficiencies, and there is NO PROOF that brain chemicals cause anything, it is only theory.

He could also have hormone imbalances that need testing and balancing.

    He could have food allergies.

This is healable with the right diet, and therapy. Otherwise doctors are just going to keep heaping medications on medications. They all have side effects.

Others have healed this with the method above.

    Happy Holidays, best wishes

..If I may first ask, why is he in a psychosis at all which can and is many times brought on by medication, or drugs, or alcohol, or stress, or some kind of poison that is entering his system..Is he taking any medications at all or possibly doing any of these things, whether you know about it or not? I had a child also who was very much like this and it turned out she was doing drugs (pot) and using alcohol whenever she could when she left the house..This is turn took her out of her sound mind and into doing all kinds of things, abusiveness, promiscuous, running away at times, a total change in personality of course..If he is being treated by a doctor, then if at all possible, see that he takes his medication and makes his appointments.. Whether he will or will not, you will also have to set up some very firm boundaries as to what is acceptable in your home, and what is not..If he chooses not to listen and abide by these boundaries, then you will have to either put up with it, which of course will not help him at all, or you will have to make alternative living arrangements for him, if he is just to much for you all to handle..This is called tuff love..He is doing all this because he can and because he is getting away with it without any consequences..You have another alternative, which is also unpleasant, but if need be, you can have him committed to a hospital where they will give him a battery of tests to see exactly what is going on..This is such a rough age for a teen with all kinds of behaviours, hormones, running through his body and if he has added alcohol or any kind of illicit drug to this, it can really upset his overall mental and physical balance..If he is willing as well, counselling for him and the family would ideally be the answer, but unfortunately not to many will agree to this..I certainly hope he will..Do take care, and do what you must to insure the overall health and security of everyone involved here..

Look into food sensitivites and adhd. Look up Dr. Doris Rapp. Does he eat a lot of peanut butter? Is he on medication that might have some side effects?

psychosis is the result of abnormal levels of neurochemical transmitters in the brain.if u do not treat

the same through a psychiatrist, his condition will be acute soon. there are excellent antipsychotic medicines avavilable which can bring his psychosis ubder control.when the symptoms are well controlled, without discontinuing the medicines, take him to ramkrishnamission and request those monks to teach him meditation.if ur son meditates regularly, then there will be further improvement.

so without wasting any time, take him to a psychiatrist.

Take at least 4 Omega 3 fish oil supplements, (high in E.P.A.) or the recommended dose of a high quality of fish oil daily, like Carlsons, or Melrose: (certified free of mercury) it is best if consumed with an antioxidant, such as an orange, or its FRESHLY SQUEEZED juice. If vitamin E is added, it should be certified as being 100% from natural sources, or it may be synthetic: avoid it! Females may benefit by balancing the DHA, & EPA versions of Omega 3 in fish, or krill** oil with ALA flaxseed oil Omega 3, or at least one heaped tablespoonful of ground flaxseed, daily. Vegetarians: Google: "Omega 3; algae; supplies" and use with flaxseed. Use the www.mercola.com ** SEARCHBAR. Dr. J Cannell, at http://vitamindcouncil.org/ recommends 20,000iu of vitamin D3 daily, with frequent testing to ensure levels of at least 100nmol/l are maintained, for psychosis, and then reduce to around 5000 IU daily (Dr. Mercola recommends 5000 IU to 8000 IU for most healthy people). Dr. Kim, at www.drbenkim.com holds similar views.

FOR PEOPLE NOT SUFFERING FROM PSYCHOSIS (HALLUCINATIONS & DELUSIONAL STATES): Dr Mercola, at http://www.mercola.com/ advises: in the winter months, if not getting sufficient daily exposure to strong light, go to a doctor and ask for a 25(OH)D, also called 25-hydroxyvitamin D, blood test. When you get the results, don’t follow the typical “normal” reference range, as these are too low. The OPTIMAL value that you’re looking for is 45-52 ng/ml (115-128 nmol/l)". The company which tests your levels has to be one of those using the correct form of test, and this topic is addressed via the searchbar at Mercola.com - "vitamin D3; testing". View http://drbenkim.com/vitamin-d-facts.htm & http://articles.mercola.com/sites/articles/archive... 59% of Americans are deficient in the extremely important vitamin D3, with their lowest levels occurring in late winter, and early spring. Canadians get even less sunlight exposure. People with the lowest levels are 11 times more likely to suffer depression (psychosis can occur with major depression).

Dr. Cannell advises that the co-factors most often deficient in the American diet, and necessary to optimise its absorption, and utilisation are magnesium, zinc, boron, and vitamin K2. I recommend using either health food/vitamin stores, or Googling: " ... ; supplies" rather than risking any old, or substandard products at supermarkets, or even on pharmacy shelves.

The Omega 3 and vitamin D3 will act as preventatives for a wide variety of disorders and diseases, both physical and psychological, as well as boosting your immune system, and are 2 that most people in Western countries are deficient in, so I suggest that you recommend them to others as well. The best dietary source of vitamin K2 is natto (Only FERMENTED soy products, like natto are safe for females).

10,000iu/daily is generally regarded as safe daily upper limit for vitamin D3, although some people may need 3 times as much, and it is worth checking AFTER you have been using effective strength supplements for 3 months to make sure you have achieved as safe level according to Dr Mercola's suggestions. Test every 6 months in late winter, and late summer. Children should take at least 2,000 IU for every 25 pounds of body weight; test again in 6 - 8 weeks, and if normalised, reduce to 1,000 IU for every 25 pounds of body weight. Some need considerably more, or less. View:
