While a F2P rpg is free, they usually incorporate some sort of cash shop. They also make the game hard to level and even have some fun if you don't use the cash shops. When looking at a F2P, your almost always limited unless you decide to fork over cash. And in the end, F2P cash shops cost more then a P2P game simply because you won't have any fun unless you start to pay.

My suggestion is to find a B2P game like Guild Wars where you buy the game and the online is free, or you find a P2P game like WoW and pay the monthly fee.

i've been playing runescape for years, and you don't have to buy anything. I have a son a little older than you that likes to play habbo hotel, but that might bore you. if you have a facebook account there are a few decent rpg games on there you could try.

Both Dungeons and Dragons Online and Lord of the Rings Online are free to play. Both are a lot of fun.

There is a online rpg game called "sonny". it is surprisingly a really good rpg for a online game!

you should go to a mmorpg site that rates all the games and gives reviews like this one
