A question for pro-lifers?

Note that this question has nothing to do with the babies rights, so answers involving that shall be disregarded.

Why do pro-lifers seem to think they have the right to remove people's basic human rights?

Update:

Ok, let me make this clearer to those not-so-bright out there.

Why is it ok to take away the woman's right to have absolute control over her body? Why is it right to force women, against their will, to carry a parasite they do not want?

Update 2:

Also, as America doesn't equal the whole world, American laws are in no way relevant.

Update 3:

Some of you don't even know what a parasite is. Technically, a fetus IS a parasite. Also, discussing my own baby here is not appropriate. Those individuals shall be reported.

Update 4:

I don't see how being pro-choice (not pro-death or pro-abortion) means I don't want children. That is a silly assumption.

People who are pro-life tend to only really think on their own religious aspects. Maybe their religion tells them that aborting a fetus is wrong. What they cannot seem to grasp is that there are many different reason why people opt to get abortions. I've heard of this one women getting an abortion because her baby would have been stillborn. I personally know a girl who aborted her child for the simple fact the it would have been half Puerto-Rican. Now while arguably one of these is more acceptable of a reason than the other, those that are pro-life see only one option. Abortion is wrong in their eyes. It does not matter if the child is going to come out so horribly deformed that it will only live for minutes after birth. It does not matter that a mother may have to deliver a stillborn child. It does not matter to them that the child may have some serious health issue that will never let them lead a happy and fulfilling life. To them every life is valuable. Even if that means making the child and the mother suffer more than necessary. It all just boils down to this. Those with religion tend to follow it blindly. They believe that what they hear is right and they will follow that to the death. They will look past any other variables just to keep supporting what they do. They've always felt that they've had the right to do what they please. It's not just this basic right that they are trying to remove, as there are others that they are in the process of trying to remove as well. Religious people just think that they are right and that they are the only ones that are right. That's why they think they have the right to remove everyone's basic rights.

If you didn't want a boy you shouldn't have had sex Saku, the chances are 50/50 in that regard. Just because you don't get what you want gender wise doesn't mean you can abort. A baby is not a parasite. If you didn't want children, why didn't you abort in the FIRST place?

EDIT** I'm pro choice (NOT pro abortion) and I still love and want my children. Not wanting the child you are currently carrying because it is not the gender you wish it to be and therefore will have an abortion IS being pro death. You are also under the mistaken assumption that abortion is BIRTH CONTROL. Here's a hint hun, IT'S NOT!!! Birth control is the prevention of pregnancy, not the removal of it once it happens. Keep that trap shut if you don't want kids and we'll all be better for it.

Source(s): Mommy of 3 and a mystery. Those who had NECESSARY abortions get a bad wrap because of people like you. Religion (at least to me) has nothing to do with it.

The lives that are already right here huh? ok... how bout shall we end making one of those enormous frickin deal about letting the youngsters get on birth control so as that "decrease back best chum abortion" would not ought to happen. a youngster that needs an abortion can get it yet has to have parental consent to get on birth control. (something incorrect with that photo?) dissimilar the time anymore they could avert in problematical paintings deaths by early c-sections. it really is done fairly typically. and frequently if the female's body is going to reject the being pregnant she will be able to miscarry and an abortion is not likely an determination. As for rape sufferers, I have a lot empathy, being one myself. yet there is adoption. and also you do not continually ought to flow by an organization to undertake a baby out. I gave my son to a lady that I have well-known for decades. Why do human beings like you inspire abortion as if there is not any incorrect way, really of putting you so called care into getting issues replaced so abortion in basic terms isn't such an determination continually?

I don't. Why do pro-abortionists think they have the right to remove people's (babies') basic human rights (life)?

You see? Bring in the fact that said "parasite" is alive and a human being, and your argument turns to nothing. I don't want a woman to lose control over her body, she has every right not to spread her legs, but when it comes to killing a baby inside of her, she has no right on that.

Would you say a woman who is 8 months pregnant doing meth and putting both lives at risk is "exercising her basic rights to her body"?

American laws are the ONLY thing relevant. I don't give one single sh*t about the rest of the world. My nation comes first.

Basic human rights to kill your own child?

What is it that makes the unborn not human?

I know of only four differences:

    1. Size

    2. Level of development

    3. Environment

    4. Degree of Dependency

As for size and level of development, a four year old child is smaller and less developed than a 17 year old. Does that make it okay to murder the toddler?

As for environment, are you less human while inside a house than you are outside it? Inside a mother's womb, the child is getting care that she would be given by LAW if she were outside the womb.

And, finally, for degree of dependency, is a person who is on certain medications for an illness less human than a healthy person? Certainly not.

Also, to those of you who would argue that the woman should not carry a child within her body. What difference is it from the child being required care once he or she is born?

If a child dies of starvation while under her mother's care, the law will prosecute that mother for child neglect and abuse.

Is it okay for a woman to kill her toddler? If not, then what we should be talking about is the humanity of the fetus and not the choice of the woman.

Within the womb is the natural state of humanity. It is the definition of the beginning of human life because there is not a single human who has not lived through this stage. Therefore, it cannot be defined as parasitic.

Because they already were doing so before Jan. 1973, and the Supreme Court's "interpretation" of the Constitution was not truly an "interpretation" at all, it was judicial activsim -- the Justices invented new law. Even Prof. Alan Dershowitz has come around to ackowledging that Roe v. Wade was NOT a valid interpretation of the Constitution.

    Government has powers, not rights.

It's because I believe in basic human rights that I'm pro-life. Fetus = human. Humans have a right to life. Therefore, I support the right to life of the fetus. When looking at abortion, we're not balancing the rights of the fetus and the mother. The mother simply has no right to murder another person.

Sex is not a basic human right. It's needed to perpetuate the species, but just because it feels good doesn't mean you have the right to do it to the exclusion of any responsibility.

If you are going to die in childbirth, kill the baby.

If the baby is not viable, kill the baby.

If you were raped, kill the baby.

If the daddy is also the grandpa, kill the baby.

IF YOU FVCKED YOUR BOYFRIEND BECAUSE IT FELT GOOD, EITHER GO DOWN TO THE ADOPTION AGENCY AND SIGN SOME PAPERS OR GET OFF YOUR BUTT, GET A JOB AND RAISE THE BABY.

Same goes for the guys. If you can exert enough energy to create a baby, you can exert the energy it takes to get a job to handle your new responsibilities.

I'm pro-choice, but can say that pro-lifers see the fetus as a human with it's own rights.

The babies rights as in the right to life are the very basis of the argument.
