Jesus pbuh, were sent to destroy paganism at his time and to lead humanity to the banner of Monotheism.
Rome had no other choice but to avenge his religion by twisting it, and actually giving him the status of God/son of God, after the failed attempt of crucifying him.
Similarly, when you take a look into the history of Persia, we see that Hazrat Ali (ra) was the mastermind behind destroying the Zoroastrian empire in Persia, a wise military plan that only Omar (ra) was capable on executing.
The grudge for the loss of Zoroastrian Persia, compelled abululua to murder Hazrat Omar (ra), and Ibn Muljem to murder Hazrat Ali (ra), and Ibn thi Aljawshan to take the pure head of Hazrat Alhussein (ra).
In retaliation to Islam, and as a part of the eternal vengeance, the Persians did not stop at that, they gave Ali (ra) the status of God, they gave his descendants the status of infallible, almost omnipotent beings, in an attempt to distort the original religion of Muhammed pbuh, the main reason behind the collapse of the Zoroastrian empire.

Let's be clear on one thing here, i am NOT attacking Persians in general, Muslim Persians have served Islam beautifully, Imam Abu Hanifah, Imam Alghazali...etc, i'm talking about the ones who adopted the imama dogma, are the very ones who either murdered Ahlulbayt and/or twisted the true version of Islam, and they were mostly Persians.
@Leon: Imran Ibn Hattan was a pious narrator, and indeed narrated hadiths mentioned in Bukhari, but when the Fitna if Kharijites emerged, he was lured to their belief and indeed embraced their madhab. Nevertheless, all the scholars agree that his narrations before the Kharijites fitna, were absolutely true and honest, seeing his entire biography before the Kharijites emergence.

"Surely things will happen to my people as happened earlier to Israelites, they will resemble each other like one shoe in a pair resembles the other ..verily the Israelites were divided into 72 sections but my people will be divided into 73 sections, all of them will be in the fire except one." The above statement is incorrect.
My question for you is: "Why was Ali's caliphate not accepted by Mawiya. Why did battle Siffin took place between Ali & Mawiya? No persians here.
The event of Karbala took place because Hussain was asked for bayt on Yazid's hand.
that was never possible and so Hussain opted for Jihad.

Ibn Kathir records:
"In the era of Tabaeen [ra], some of the Khawarij praised Ibn Muljim and that included Imran bin Hattan. He is one of those worshippers who narrated hadith in Sahih Bukhari from Ayesha [ra] and he stated about Ibn Muljim:
'What should we say about the attack by that pious whose aim was just to attain the pleasure of God? Whenever I recall that day, I think of him better than all creations, who appears to be heaviest on the scale before Allah'"

Like I said, I agree with this post.. Bani Ummayah had completely destroyed Islam, if it weren't for the 12 Imams(as), who preserved Muhammad(saww)'s Sunnah, and his Hadeeth..
Anyways, it's very hypocritical of you to claim that you know exactly who 'created' the Imamah belief and twisted Islam.. But when it comes to Fasiqs like Yazid(la), you say there's no real evidence about what he did and we can't be sure about what happened over a 1000 years ago so just let them be..

My friend, the original Islam was based on Arabic traditions. The Shias mixed their faith with their customs and traditions.
Are you saying that it's ok for Arabs to inject their customs into their faith and Shias have no right to do so?
