The withdrawal symptoms would be dangerous. You would have to titrate the dose down for several days or weeks. I would say really bad idea and it is dangerous if you do it incorrectly.If you do decide to do this make sure you have informed your family Dr.and keep some percocet with you at all times because withdrawal symptoms are nasty.

Donny, YES, I had no idea you had a bad Heart it would be a very bad idea , Do Not go off your Plavix or anything else and going off your percs is a bad idea, I have to go to a pain clinic because of 3 kinds of neuropathy, fibromyalgis, lupus etc. If you take a Drug Holiday there may be severe side affects, have u ever gone off the percs Not Fun. So you listen to me, No Drug Holiday for you. Take care
