Just so you know, you can get very detailed reviews on all these at Tripadvisor.com. Be aware, however, that management will create fake accounts to give their hotels better ratings, so read carefully. I usually drop out the best one and the worst one, and make my decision based on that, and location.

    1. Redondo's a nice location, obviously near the beach. Not a whole lot nearby except the pier and some restaurants.

    2. Any hotel near LAX is only good for business conferences, as there is nothing of note in the area except fast food, hotels, and the nudie strip club.

    3. Some people like this hotel. I'm not a big fan of downtown, because there are a lot of homeless downtown. Not a fun place to be.

    4. See #2.

    5. Right by the Commerce Casino, I believe. Citadel Outlet Mall is close by. But the Casino is really not good in comparison to Vegas (or even Laughlin or Tahoe) casinos.

    6. Decent hotel, a bit out of the way. Some shopping nearby, but a LONG way to Disneyland.

Since LA is so spread out, there is no single place that is close to EVERYTHING. Most people who come here tend to stay in Hollywood, Santa Monica, or Anaheim. In Hollywood, I recommend the Orchid Suites, Hollywood Celebrity Hotel, or Hollywood Heights (formerly Holiday Inn Walk of Fame), all near Hollywood and Highland. In Santa Monica, the Holiday Inn Santa Monica is close to the pier and reasonably priced. In Anaheim, I recommend the Howard Johnson (HoJo) Anaheim, and the Candy Cane Inn. There is also a nice place in Burbank called the Best Western Media Center, very close to Warner, NBC, and Universal Studios.

No offense yet those human beings are smoking crack. of path its risk-free to take a cab from LAX on your hotel. that's what cabs are for and we are speaking l. a. not some small city in a third international usa. Plus LAX is a hectic airport the place there are multiple cameras on you in any respect situations, not some random darkish area the place no one will see you get in the cab. basically get your bags and head to the taxi section - there'll maximum in all probability be a protracted line of them. Get in while its your turn and tell the driving force the place you're going and have a good chat with your driving force on your way on your hotel.
