Yes, you should always consult your doctor before stopping Plavix.

Donny, I would call the doc and ask but as far as I know its not alright to stop a lot of drugs abruptly, I stopped taking Plavix abruptly and had no side effects, the question is should you go off Plavix? Plavix keeps blood clots from forming and prevents things like (TIA) mini stroke and Heart attacks. Make sure with your doc before stopping any drug. Good Luck Rita V

No - you can stop anytime you like - its not like its a life saving drug, right? Don't bother to tell your doc - let Dr. G - open you up and explain it the world.
