what is a dvd-r an what do u do with it? whats the difference iin it an cdr?

    A DVD-R, my friend, is either a DVD-Recordable disc or a DVD drive, depending on what it is you're looking at.

    Physically, it is exactly the same size as a CD-R disc or a CD drive ... again, depending on what it is you're looking at.

    The biggest difference is the amount of storage capacity on the discs. Whereas a CD-R disc can hold 700 MB, a DVD-R disc can hold 4.7 GB. That's roughly 6.5 times the amount of data that can be stored on a DVD-R disc.
