Protestants, does your church put up a Nativity scene...?

...while at the same time railing against Catholic statuary, or do you break for the holidays?

Well, uh, THOSE statues are SYMBOLIC. Protestants don't actually bow down and worship them. So it's all different and stuff.

The hell with it. I am an atheist, and I still encourage nativity scenes. Religion is not always a bad thing, and throwing a tantrum about it just makes you look like an asshole.

My mom told me today that a Baptist church near her created a living Nativity, even with an infant.

Let the Christians believe what they want....

Well 'my church' is Canterbury Cathedral and yeh they have a life-size Nativity which is pretty cool and noo no break for the hols :)

'Christmas' is a bandwagon religious festival which has nothing to do with some bird called mary and her illegitimate son.

Lets not forget what, it's always been about- the last moon of the year and time to have a decent meal and indulge in some true anglo-saxon paganism

    Mine does.

I only went for my grandmother but there's one up at my local church.

  • We love Catholics....

We don't put up one, if we do, I haven't seen it anywhere.

they prolly do but they have to go down the street to pray so it will look like they are not "praying" to the statues
