about adult males who passed through incest as child?

As a child I was sexually abused by my mom, now I am in late thirties and my sex life is void and my interpersonal relationship is empty. I have a job from which I make enough money to pay rent and daily alcohol, but I feel like every day is the same: job - drinking - job - drinking. Does any of you feel like this is wrong? Is this normal? It will be the same till the end or there is something I can do to change?

Incest/molestation aside, if you want to change things, you need to take action.

If you are tired of drinking, stop! Find something more productive and interesting to do. Explore your interests instead of just thinking about them.

If the story you are telling is true and not fabricated to get responces, Im sorry. No child should ever have to endure that kind of treatment from any adult, much less a parent. What she did was wrong, and she will have to answer for that some day. For now however, you must find a way to move beyound that. It is in your past and you must leave it there. If you dont,it will remain a part of you today and tomorrow. Dont let that happen. Move forward and make a life for yourself that has hope and happiness. As it is now, your still living in the past. Your stuck there. PLEASE brother, move forward! Get up and start walking in a new direction! You can do it, because many more like you have done so. So can you!

The 1st step to recovery is telling someone about it.

Once you can discuss what happened you can heal from it.

The choice is yours on who to talk with. I would ask around the mental health community to see who deals with this issue.

I hope you can face it someday and stop your cycle of self destruction.
