They don't come from scientists, scientists have classified no aliens.
It mostly comes from science fiction and people who believe (erroneously in my opinion) that they have seen or been abducted by aliens.

No scientist has ever been able to observe an alien, since no alien has ever visited Earth, as far as we know. These classifications of aliens are completely imaginary, and do not come from scientists.
