I don't if I need to chat with someone I use my land line. The cell is my just-in-case-phone. I have never used a cell phone with transmission quality of a land line and never expect it to happen.

Because mobile phones are well... Mobile. and I have a landline but I never use it unless people call me from there. O and my parents pay for all cell bills on my phone :-)

i think it's easier, they may be not at home, also you don't have to remember their numbers
