Can you cook salmon in a crockpot?
Is it possible to steam salmon in a crock pot? If so....how?

No. If you want to steam salmon filets or steaks, use a pot on the stove and use a basket over the water that will hold the salmon up but allow the steam to reach it.
A slow-cooker (Crock Pot is a registered trademark) is meant for long, slow cooking, such as you might want to do with a beef brisket or a chicken. Salmon is not suited to long cooking.

Of course you can cook salmon and have a delicious dish using a crockpot.
You can steam it. You'll have to have a way of supporting it over the water and it will take a very, very long time. But what you'll get is salmon that is so silky it will be almost like custard. I would leave the skin on the salmon while it cooks and remove it before you serve it. Or remove it first and cook the skin on a grill until it is crispy and serve with the steamed salmon.
You can also poach the salmon, which is what I would probably do. You want to start this on a stove to save a lot of time.
Start by creating your poaching liquid. You can just use salted water or you can add cut up onions, carrots, celery and boil them until they are just cooked. You can add white or red wine, hot peppers, fish sauce, clam juice or whatever you want. Then dump this liquid into your crockpot, carefully lower your salmon into it and let it go until the fish is done.
Sorry I can't be precise about the timing but it will differ depending on your crockpot, the thickness of the salmon, etc.

LaLa, it's not that I am a nonbeliever as I am not. Cooking over a long period of time, the fish will break up (I assume), what common sense tells me, I usually bake if it's a whole salmon, or do on the BBQ, if it's salmon steaks or fillets, I pan seer them with garlic butter and serve with a lemon wedge.
Really the choice is yours.

You Can... It Really depends on the dish you are making but I prefer my fish pan fried.
