That depends on where you are. The time is slightly different for everyone. In Texas, it is 12:30ish. You do not need shades to veiw a lunar eclipse. There is no danger to your eyes like in a solar eclipse. You can check a local news website or a site like weather.com and enter your zipcode. It will probably list the time for your area.

Depends On were you are on the planet 1;30 AM IN N.Y. i am in AZ so that would be 11:30 i will be out looking up at that time not going to happen for another 450 years i will not be here then. These are starting times for the Eclipse it will take about 3 hours for total event. No eye protection required. Enjoy
