What board game should I get my Dad?
He's not much into excessive trivia games or anything artsy (like pictionary, or cranium where you have to draw, sculpt and act) . I think he'd like something fun, strategic but not a long game. He likes Blokus if that helps, and Risk if it wasn't so long. Any suggestions would be welcome. He likes card games too. Thanks guys!

The previous replies were all for kids games... not great if you're buying for your Dad.
Here's a list of fun and simple games that take 90 minutes or less to play a complete game. They're all games you can play with your dad and BOTH enjoy.
Ticket To Ride - Players race to make train connections between different cities. LOTS of fun.
Ingenious - A bit like Blokus, but with more strategy. Also good because you can play from 2 to 4 players, where Blokus really only works well with 4.
Zooloretto - Players try to collect the right animals for their zoo, while trying to stick their opponents with the undesirable ones.
Incan Gold - A very simple "Push your luck" game that only takes about 15 minutes. Up to 8 players.
Forbidden Island - Players play together to beat the game. You all win or lose TOGETHER. To win, you must collect 4 artifacts from an island that is slowly sinking.
Hey That's My Fish - Looks like a kid's game, but there is some good strategy possible.
Scotland Yard - One player is "Mr X", and must evade the other players who are all working together to trap him in downtown London.
Jamaica - A beautiful looking game where you take the roll of pirates racing around Jamaica.
Hope that helps!!

Get him a game that you'd enjoy playing with him. He's going to enjoy any game that the two of you can play together.

Try to get him Stratego. It is a strategy game that is fun but not too long in duration.
