Legitimate work-at-home program should tell you - in writing - what's involved in the program they are selling. Here are some questions you might ask:

* What tasks will I have to perform? (Ask the program to list every step of the job.)

* Will I be paid a salary or will my pay be based on commission?

* Who will pay me?

* When will I get my first paycheck?

* What is the total cost of the work-at-home program, including supplies, equipment and membership fees?

* What will I get for my money?

Any job that says "earn 10,000 working from home part-time is a scam. If you could earn that much, they would just setup a factory in China or India to get people to do it and keep the profit. There are plenty of work from home jobs, I do several jobs writing.

There are a number of home based businesses out there. The best thing to do is think about what things you're interested in, and see if there is a home based business related to it on the Internet. Make a short list and determine which one is the best fit for you.

This is what I did.

I work from home as a self-employed Secretary/Administrator. I already work for a charity but need to increase my hours. I have tried advertising in our local village magazine and shops and have also contacted many local businesses, but no luck so far.

You will get lots of scammers answering here, please don’t fall prey. However, at the same time, please don’t listen to the people saying they are ALL SCAMS. They are not ALL scams, just MOST of them are!
