Pusillanimous - I heard it in a song once and immediately looked it up in the dictionary. I try to use it whenever I can.

I think grooming sounds weird and groomers.

Abscond is a rare word that I don't hear a lot and I use it all the time.
Like, "I absconded with the jewels when nobody was looking."
