Almond milk is slightly sweeter than soy milk for most brands, it also doesn't really taste like soymilk or cows milk at all.
Depending on the brand you get, you will experience a wide variety of flavors. (some ok, some disgusting). From what I've tasted, Almond Breeze seems to be the most tolerable brand for me; I would recommend avoiding Almond Dream, it was very watered down (thin) and had a disgusting flavor. (couldn't finish it)
Personally I prefer rice milk to soy and almond for non-dairy alternatives, even if it is thinner, its flavor overall is the most tolerable of the faux milks. (The BEST non-dairy milk I've had was made from sunflower seeds, though I don't know if the sample I tasted is on the market yet)

Almond milk is really good. It's definitely sweeter, and has a more pleasing texture than soymilk (which seems kind of gritty/grainy to me). It doesn't taste like cow's milk or soy milk, just has a faint almond taste. I think it's great in cereal, coffee and to drink on its own. I recently saw an ad for coconut milk, I think I may try that next!

Almond Milk is better, in my opinion. But I also like soy milk, so whatever. Good thing I'm not a vegan though, I get to try all kinds of milks, haha.

I lot of good answers on here so far. i just wanted to mention that I recently tried Hemp milk and found it absolutely delicious. My first sip of it, I was a little undecided because it just had a different flavor than I have ever had but after a few seconds I was like 'wow, this is delicious'. I was going to order more through Amazon but it is super expensive at least for me. The only thing I noticed on the label that I didn't like was it was higher in fat than soy or almond. Nutritionally, it is really good having substantial amounts of nutrients, some protein, Omega 3's, etc. Compare for yourself, I just wanted too mention it since some other alternatives have been brought up.

I like almond milk you can get it sweetened or not sweetened. I am on a diet and it has only 35 calories per cup unsweetened - I add a bit of Truvia to it to sweeten it up. I love soy milk and have switched to almond milk I like the taste better.

Almond milk is thinner, more "watery" than soy milk and has a more pleasing flavor on the pallet and tongue, hence why it's probably a little more expensive. Cocoanut milk is also a lot tastier than soy milk, which is just made from beans. No wonder I don't like it as much as the other vegan milks myself.
Edit: I think all soy milk's good for is cooking TBH...

I love vanilla almond milk.

IMO, it has a richer taste. If you use it in your oatmeal or cereals, you won't want any other type of milk. It's creamier than regular milk. Better for you, too.
