I read briefly upon Gödel's Incompleteness Theorem, which basically says in a nutshell it's not possible.

The idea that there is always more sure is freaky! Stephen Hawking himself says he used to be a believe in the theory but is no longer, so it is the case that after a while faith will be lost among physicists and science investigation and theory is always the case of strength in numbers!

A major motivation for string theory to to create the theory of everything (TOE) by merging the general theory of relativity with quantum physics. The TOE conceptually "contains all the secrets of the universe."

But they (Ed Witten, S. Hawking, Brian Greene, et. al) have been working on the TOE for decade now and they don't seem to be any closer to merging the macro (the general theory) with the micro (the quanum physics). As a consequence, gravity is still not included in with the other three forces (two if you consider the electro-weak force) that need to be merged with gravity to have the TOE.

To show just how far away we are; we have no real clue what gravity is. The other forces have observed messenger particles that carry the force messages. We've found no such particles for gravity as yet. So we can explain why EM, and the weak and strong atomic forces work, but, to date, we can't say what gravity is let alone why it works.

In any case, there are a couple dozen physicists around the world still working on the unification and TOE issue.

Yes, probably Stephen Hawking and other genius physicists.

But I'm pretty sure that when they worked everything out, it would all end up...
