I started generic Wellbutrin XR today. took my first pill at 5pm, waited an hour and a half and felt nothing?
So then about 6-6:30pm I took 2 150mg crushed them and drank them...still feel nothing at 9:30......did I not take enough?
no not trying to get high...lol. I read there's a rush of energy and focus and tremors that happen right off the bat, and I'm not getting any? So I figured I'd take more. I didn't exceed the daily limit according to the advisory.

Most of what you read on the internet is junk. Yes SOME people do experience tremor after taking Wellbutrin (bupropion) but most people don't. Also most people do NOT have "a rush of energy and focus." Some people may experience that but it is not a common reaction. Over time Wellbutrin can be somewhat stimulating and it may increase concentration but it is not an instant thing.
Everyone reacts differently to medication, there are no effects that you are supposed to experience. Wellbutrin typically takes 4-6 weeks for full effects although some notice effects about two weeks after starting, You may have some side effects like anxiety, insomnia, agitation, or headache but they tend to go away with time.
It is also extremely important you NEVER crush Wellbutrin XL, by doing that all the medication releases at once. That is particularly troublesome if you are just starting, Even if you did not take more than the maximum dose I assume you took more than your doctor prescribed? Again it is not a good idea to take more than prescribed. Typically people start at a lower dose, like 150 mg, and then slowly increase as needed.
Give the Wellbutrin some time and hopefully it will start to help you.

First off take it as prescribed. Taking to much does more harm than good. Wellbutrin is the the kind of drug that kicks in gradually (2 weeks or so), if you are taking it for anxiety talk to your Doctor. He/She may be able to prescribe another med for immediate results to work along with the Wellbutrin. Then after a period of time you will get weaned off the helper med and stay on Wellbutrin. Call your MD.
Hope this helps :)

Are you trying to get high off your psyche meds??!!
What did your doctor say to take, take that and that's all.
What did your doctor say you'd feel?
Consult your doc and mind.
