windows 7 home edition failure is anyone else unable to use the factory installed system?
I bought a new computer HP, and it came with windows 7 installed and I can't get it to operate. I have contacted all the help folks and still can't get it to operate. I even had GEEK from Best Buy, install the windows system.
The reason GEEK came is because I was having vision problems at the time, I'm seventy years old with cataracts and I couldn't manage the crawling around with wifi and cable connections. I bought the whole system including hp desktop computer from Best Buy and spent a lot of money for a system I can't seem to grasp.

As Hugh mentioned, a lot more nfo is needed. Laptop? Desktop?
If Win7 came installed why was it necessary for a "Geek" to re-install?

We need a better description of the problem.
What happens when you try to use it? Any error messages? Model number?
If this were my computer I would contact HP and get them to resolve this issue or make a warranty claim.
