Ramadan. The worst punishment that could ever happen to a parent would be the death of a child, do you agree?

Has Allah or God ever punished any of the Prophets in history with this devastating sanction?

Cheers. Tam the Bam

The Prophet Muhammad (saw) lost his son Ibrahim when he was only about a year old. In fact the Prophet lost all of his sons - none of them survived.

How do you know that if someone loses a child they are necessarily being "punished"? What if they are being tested or there is a Mercy in it from God? What if those children would have grown up to cause unimaginable grief?

Allah did cause the death of the sons of the Prophet (pbuh) but whether he was being punished through it is not for you to say

I disagree. The worst punishment is being sent to hell. After all, the rewards and punishments of this life can not compare to the rewards and punishments of the Hereafter.

@ dot: That's incorrect. Many women become devasted after a miscarriage, usually never forgetting the pain of it. My mother had two and to this day, she's still sad about it.

Yes I do agree with yoiur opinion Allah did not ever punished any of the prophet in history. The kafir people who killed the prophets appointed to them in submitting the warning and life guide from Allah.

I agree with Autumn , The punishment of the hell fire will be the worst.

If a parent looses a child it's sad and heart breaking , that parent will never be the same again.

But life goes on . You will never forget the pain tho.

But sometimes ALLAH test our faith.

None of the prophets had been punished this way.

And this happening to a 'greatest' prophet is a very telling sign.

The greatest trial, what a punishment to you is a degree raising event to others.

Nay, I think the worst punishment for a parent is seeing his/her child going astray...

Not if you're not attached to the children.

Like come on, how many mothers weep over miscarriages?

    So, yeah, no.

I sound mean, yes, but it's true!

Autumn, that's your mother! Not mothers of the whole world!

What about mothers who have abortions?! :I
