i always find this reddish-brown stuff in my pants adn what is it?

i am a teenage girl and it happens like once a month and it smells like fish somtimes

    Well it depends on how much it is. If it's a large amount of brownish-reddish color it's your PERIOD and you need to use tampons or liners and if you haven't had your first period yet, it's discharge and that means that you're going to get your period. But either way, you should most definitely start getting into the habit of using whatever it is that you wish to make sure that it doesn't get in your pants like that.
