Clearing my iPhone so I can sell it?

Hi, my iphone 3 is now out of contract and I am getting an iPhone 4. How do I clear all the purchased apps, music and phone numbers from it? Also, how do I de register it from Apple and my iTunes account so the new owner can set up their own account with Apple and iTunes?

    Go on ur iPhone and go to settings and find your Apple account-Log out of it

    Then Restore it

    And since its not connected to ur Apple account the other person buying cant like get ur apps

    And since restored all the apps,music,contacts,pics are deleted.
