I dislike this statement. England has been the birthplace of many giants, Nelson and Churchill among them.

Not sure what is to like or dislike about your statement, other than the lack of punctuation and failure to capitalize. By the way, wasn't Lord Beaverbrook a Canadian. Anyway, who were Maggie's boys that took the thrashing? The people you have named straddle the time that Mrs Thatcher was Prime Minister and I had to look up Henry Cooper.
