Just curious if anyone out there has ever had pleurisy before...?

I believe that I am experiencing the symptoms of the above mentioned for the last week now and it hasn't gotten any better. If anyone out there has ever gone through this, I would love some information concerning this and what you personally did for treatment.

    Yup it hurt like hell. I was 16 and called 911 , thought I was having a heart attack. He prescribed me medication.

    I don't know how in the heck you would be able to diagnose yourself of this without seeing a doctor. it is a condition involving the pleural membrane of the lung, there is no way you can know without seeing a doctor.

    I would be getting myself to the doctor if you think you have this. Also, the same symptoms can mean other things that are even more severe.

    u cant self medicate goo see a doctor...for the mean time while sleeping try to raise ur head and back slighty to prevent difficulty on breathing
