.With all the false information about the 2012 doomsday out there on the web, it can be difficult to figure out what's fake and what isn't. I will try to clear a few things up regarding the question about whether 2012 is fake or not in this article.
Let me start by saying that there are many facts related to the 2012 theory.
Here's a list of some facts related to the 2012 doomsday:
The ancient Mayan calendar ends on December 21. 2012.
The galactic alignment is a true event which is happening at this very moment.
The pole **** is also true, but most scientist believe it takes a long while for it to finish, and that it wont have disastrous consequences.
Two very different computer programs predict the end of the world in 2012. One of these predict this will happen on december 21. 2012, and this program is called "Timewave Zero". The other program is called the "Web Bot".
An asteroid named 433 Eros will pass earth in 2012, but it's very likely not to have an impact.
There are many theories that will twist facts like these for scare tactic purposes. Even so, I don't think we can just overlook them and dismiss everything about the 2012 doomsday. Many of the predictions and theories are groundless, but some require further investigation.
The most popular belief is that the government is planning a one world order, and that they will use various scare tactics to get what they want.

Oh yeah, it is very real... It is the year following 2011 and before 2013. Will the world end come 2012? Did it end in Sept. of 2008 when the LHC was fired up? No. Did it end during Y-2K? Of course not. The only thing the doomsayers have in common is that they are always... Wrong! Nothing world-ending will happen in 2012 or even a 100 years later.

Throughout history, some people have claimed to know exactly when the world was coming to an end -- and in every case they were wrong. There is no reason to believe it will be different with this prediction (if in fact it even is one -- which many scholars doubt).
Only God knows the future, and the most comforting truth I can tell you is that the future is in His hands -- and His hands alone. Yes, some day the world as we know it will come to an end -- but not one second before God causes it to happen. In that day, Christ will return to earth to overcome all evil and establish His kingdom of perfect peace and justice.
When will that be? Jesus warned us not to make guesses or firm predictions, because "No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father" (Matthew 24:36). At the same time, the Bible does tell us that certain things must take place before Christ returns -- and many of those are happening today.
The most important question, however, is this: Are you ready for the day when you must stand before God -- either because of death or because of Christ's return? Don't dodge that crucial issue, but make sure of your salvation by trusting Christ and giving your life to Him today.

I really don't know. Even though tons of people predicted the world was going to end in 2000 (Y2K) nothing happened, but then again that doesn't mean its impossible to happen in 2012. Hopefully nothing happens & we all move on with our strange lives...

2012 is the end of the Aeon (age). Not the end of the world. However, in the near future, when oil is no longer sold in "dollars", but another foreign currency, then it will look like the end of the world.
The 'Wu-' says diversify your currencies ;-)
