On Animal Crossing for the Wii, does a coconut from the beach grow a coconut tree when planted?
In the video game Animal Crossing City Folk, for the Wii game console. If you find a coconut on the beach and plant it in the ground, will it grow a coconut tree? And if so do you have to water it when you plant it?

Trees do not require watering. Only flowers do. But, yes, if you plant a coconut, it will grow a coconut tree. It should be there within 3 days or so, and fruiting within 5 days.
For best results, plant it near the beach, but not in the sand.

Here is the formula that I have followed for coconuts: 1) Dig a hole near the beach not in the sand (1 or 2 holes from the sand) and plant your local fruit. 2) Make sure that the local fruit tree grows and gives you fruit 3) cut down the fruit tree with an ax 4) use a shovel to remove the stump 5) plant your coconut

Yup! You have to plant it on the beach but not where the dirt is sandy... If you're not sure what that means take a look at the picture in the source, it needs to be planted in space 3.

Yes, it will. I have grown many trees, and none required watering. If it doesn't grow, try again! Also, plant it near a beach.
