Is Now Essential a good oil brand?

I bought the tea tree oil from Now Essential and it irritated my scalp. I don't know if it's me or the oil is just not a good one..

Update:

Yeah I did put too much...so I think that is why... the other oils that I bought from Now Essential (i.e. rosemary & lavender) didn't even smell that great. They all kind of smell the same to me. It has like a strong minty scent.

Well I think it's alright. I have tried a tea tree oil, but not really on my scalp, just for random things, and not in the Now brand- the brand I have is Jason, it's really good, I would get it again. I have tried the Now brand Almond oil, which I have no other almond oil to compare it to, but it didnt seem to be anything great, did nothing for me (I wanted it for my body and hair). I ended up not finishing the bottle and got NSI brand extra virgin coconut oil, and use it for hair and body, and it's wonderful. So my point is that I dont think Now is the best brand or the worst, but I would probably try another. But make sure you just didn't use too much tea tree oil (and how did you use it- did you mix in conditioner?) Cause tea tree oil can be irritating, especially if you use too much of it.

Well Tea Tree Oil is an essential oil which are strong (in aroma and effects) and can naturally cause irritation if not diluted correctly. Essential oils are best diluted with carrier oils like jojoba oil, olive oil, coconut oil, etc. . .which are used to carry the essential oil to the hair without removing any of it nutrience.

I actually like them a lot. They makea good tea tree. All the ones you named do kinf of smell alike. Maybe you just don't like real lavender after all. You wouldn't be the first. I have liked everything I have gotten from them though, and I have a few.
